What Does "Non-Sponsored" Study Abroad Mean?
Students who are traveling to Southern Cross University Village Lismore for a trimester abroad who are paying for their own accommodation either upfront or fortnightly directly to the Village.


What Rooms Are Available

What Are The Steps To Apply?
Please apply via the Student Portal here, simply select the "Non-Sponsored Term Session" from the options available and complete the application.

Once complete, our reservations team will send you through your "Invitation For Accommodation". At this stage you will be required to log back onto the student portal to:
1. Accept the Terms and Conditions
2. Complete Required Payments
3. Submit Rental Payment Information

Once all steps are completed, you will receive a confirmation email.


What Fees Do I Pay Upfront?
Yes, all fees are paid upfront prior to your room being confirmed:
Security Deposit (equivalent to 4 x weeks rent)
Cleaning Fee $85
Data Connection Fee $25


What Does It Mean If When Paying For One A Fee It Says "SOLD OUT" On The Portal?
Please note that this means that you have already selected the item to add to your cart.
If you are having difficulty, please speak to our team online chat or email us live.lismore@scuvillage.com.au where we can manually add this items for you.


Can I Pay Once My Visa Is Approved?
All contracts are legal and binding, we recommend waiting until you have your visa before proceeding with your accommodation.


What If I Don't Have An Australian Bank Account or Credit Card for My Bank Details?

You can provide an international credit card for your rental payments and update your rental payment details once you arrive in Australia.


What If My Arrival and / or Departure Dates Are Different To The Set Dates?

Can I Arrive At The Village Without A Confirmed Booking?
No, you must arrange your contract prior to arrival. Failure to do so may mean that a room will not be available or delay your arrival process.


Rooming Requests
During the application process you will be asked to enter any specific rooming requests. This is where you can place the names of any friends you wish to live with or any requests (i.e all female apartment request).

Please note although we will endeavour to do our best to accommodate all students your requests cannot be guaranteed due to the high demand and room allocations will not be confirmed until the day of arrival.


What If I Want Different Dates?
Please note that our contract dates are set, however if you wish to arrive earlier you extend your booking out, we can certainly assist you. Please email us live.lismore@scuvillage.com.au at the time of application with the updated dates and we will update your contract accordingly.
